_ABILITIES:
To start with, Sion is a partially transformed vampire. Which means she carries a small amount of the benefits and detriments of being one. For example, she does have heightened speed, reflexes, strength, and healing ability. However, they aren’t all that amazing. While she will outclass any level of human in those areas, most people who have super powers in those areas will outclass her fairly easily. On the downside, she has a bit of sensitivity to the sun. Sion prefers to work during the night and, during the day, tends to wear outfits that fully cover her body because she can burn very easily. She also possesses an intense amount of bloodlust. While she keeps it in check normally, the sight of blood will give her the equivalent of hunger pains and she has to focus most of her effort on not deepening her transformation. Which the outcome of that will be discussed later.
Sion’s greatest strength, both in and out of combat, is her brain. She is a super genius capable of partitioning her brain to run multiple thought processes at once. It’s so good that using a complex mathematical equation, she’s able to predict the probability of a person’s next action and act on it before it happens. This ability is what lets her hit well above her level in power as she’s able to predict what type of attack or defense is coming next. However, it does come with its own downside too. Namely if her opponent is way more powerful than her, it doesn’t matter if she can predict what they’re going to do if she doesn’t have the time to act on it. It’s much like being able to guess where a bullet is going to go by where the gun’s barrel is pointed. You could guess the exact location the bullet will hit you on your body but if you’re not fast enough to dodge the bullet, what’s the point? Still, it’s the power of Sion’s brain that keeps her from transforming into a vampire. She holds back the transformation through sheer mental power.
Another thing Sion possesses is a weapon called the Barrel Replica. It’s a pistol capable of firing normal pistol bullets. However, it is a copy of a Conceptual Weapon, weapons that can destroy any type of being, even ones who do not have a concept of what death is. While its power is nowhere near the original Black Barrel, when used as intended, it does possess its ability on a far minor scale. If used as intended, it fires a gigantic laser. One with enough recoil that it will send Sion flying backwards if she doesn’t brace herself. While that laser is more than capable of killing normal humans, it has different effects against immortals. Namely, its power scales with how powerful the enemy is. While it’s not capable of killing the more powerful beings she’s up against, it does inhibit their powers for years. And if a creature is just super powerful beyond belief, it’ll simply burn them a bit.
What Sion is most known for is an item she has in her possession called etherlite. Etherlite is a microscopic, monofilament wire that has multiple purposes. It’s main purpose of use is termed ‘Soul Hacking’. By inserting it into the brain of someone, Sion can do one of two things. Either completely bypass the person’s brain (software) and take control of their body (hardware) or make a straight up copy of the person’s brain and download it for herself. The former requires a lot of skill and brainpower, to be able to control two bodies at once. Sion’s own brain is easily up to the task. The latter is how Sion gets a lot of what she learns, by simply filtering through the knowledge and memory a person has and taking what she needs for herself. It’s not mind reading but experience stealing. It’s also highly illegal and part of why Sion is on the run from the organization she’s leader of. When not using it for special powers, Sion uses it like a whip and entangling wire, to help control the flow of combat. Its tensile strength is fairly ridiculous and takes a sharp object or an immense amount of strength to break it. Please note that I will put up a permission post for anything etherlite related.

As a vampire, Sion can use her manipulation of statistics to create nasty slashing attacks with the force of magical energy behind them. With the etherlite, she can create ghostlike forms of people she knows and use those to mimic those people’s attacks. And while other vampires may suck blood, Sion also takes in the victim’s information, which can be used or controlled later through her etherlite abilities. Sion does not or cannot use the Barrel Replica while a vampire. Sion does not change at will, by the way. It’s a slowly degrading process that cannot be reversed unless Sion discovers a cure or something outside fixes it (perhaps something game related).
_PERSONALITY:
For most of her life, Sion has unfortunately been alone and unable to rely on anyone.. This loneliness was both self-induced and brought upon her by outside circumstances. You see, while attending her main schooling at Atlas Academy, her schoolmates connived against her, ignored her, and talked shit behind her back because her ancestor, who was the head of the Atlas Academy in the past, went insane and willingly became a destructive vampire. Which many supposed that Sion would end up doing the same because it was genetics. Combined with the fact that both her father and mother were not ‘geniuses’, Sion was an easy target for troublemakers. Because of this, Sion is extremely socially inept and has a difficult time taking cues. When she speaks to others, it often seems like she’s talking down to them or lecturing them but as far as she can tell, she’s simply explaining something or advising on a best course of action. And yes, she comes off as very imperious and know-it-all but the line between helpful and hurtful has been difficult for her to establish in the past.
In terms of associating with others, Sion falls under the class of being “violently tsundere”. She’s not used to experiencing emotions such as caring, love and affection so when they come at her, they hit her with the force of a semi-truck. And she pushes back just as hard, often with threats or even a holdup with her gun. While that doesn’t dominate her social life, it’d be odd to go through a casual conversation and not annoy Sion at least once, unless she’s with someone who has earned her respect. Then things tend to turn around. Sion is a lot less harsh and far more willing to consider their words or opinions, calculating them in with her own actions to see if there would be a better conclusion to what they were discussing.

If you ever insinuate that she is wrong or doing something incorrect in the slightest bit, she becomes a veritable ball of rage and insults. Once the logic barrier is down and Sion is riled up, it becomes a free-for-all game of yelling and nasty words as she tries to classify said person. Her temper is short and if someone knows exactly what to say, she can go from 0 to destructive in a few words flat. Which, those things that make her mad often revolve around intentional stupidity and irrational/illogical words, thoughts, or actions.
Despite being not being liked at the Academy, Sion worked her butt off and became the head, just like her ancestor, Zepia. No easy feat since no one at the Academy likes her, which meant she did it completely off of hard work and her own merits. Say whatever you want about Sion, lazy is never a word people will be able to attach to her. But her being the head is why she carries the last name “Atlasia” since it is given to all heads of Atlas Academy. She deals with the politics and backstabbing involved with the position every day and it doesn’t seem to leave the normal wear and tear on her that it would on others. But this hard work, rational thought, and intelligence was what drove her to that position.
Beyond that, Sion is also well known for being very efficient, even if it means cheating. And if ‘cheating’ will achieve Sion’s desired goal most efficiently, she will dive into it head first. Equipped with etherlite, Sion bypasses researching topics by using the etherlite to jack into the brains of others that have researched the appropriate topic and “download” their information. This method is extremely forbidden by Atlas Academy and is part of the reason that there is a “Capture or Kill” order out on her head by the Academy, despite heading it up. The two other reasons...well, another has to do with rule breaking. The Academy believes that an alchemist working for them is entitled to their own knowledge. Sion willingly traded that knowledge with outside parties to learn things to achieve her own goals. Those goals leading into the third reason.
That reason being that Sion went off on an important mission as an Atlas representative and not only did everyone that participated in the mission die, Sion survived and was bitten by a vampire. Her goals after that moment were to trade information in hopes to find a cure for vampirism, mostly before she completely transformed into one. That is her sole driving goal in life and meeting friends of her across the seas in Japan helped fuel that. Her pen pal and best friend, Satsuki, was previously transformed into a vampire so Sion also seeks to help cure her condition too. In the meantime, it’s well known that the two spend most of their time together with a third friend, Reisbyfe, and have a small club, The Backalley Alliance. No one knows what they do exactly but crime after dark has dropped considerably after their club was formed so it’s not too hard to guess.
